Ingredients: French Green Clay (Illite, Kaolin, Montmorillonite).
French Green Clay ~ cleanses ~ exfoliates ~ smooths and softens the skin. It is one of the most absorbent clays and is used mainly for oily, neglected skin and in the treatment of acne.
How to make a Clay Face Mask.
What you will need:
1 Teaspoon of French Green Clay Powder
1 Teaspoons of Liquid (this can be water, floral water, aloe vera juice, ect…)
5 Drops of oil (this can be an oil you already have like olive oil, coconut oil or your favorite facial oil. You can also purchase some great oils from your local supermarket including sweet almond oil, avocado oil, macadamia oil, rosehip oil, argan oil and hemp seed oil. All of these oils have many amazing benefits to the skin.).
Simply mix the clay and other ingredients to thin paste consistency.
Apply evenly over clean and dry skin. A little goes a long way!
Leave for 10 minutes then rinse it off with luke warm water.
For oily or combination skin use 2-3 times a week. For dry or sensitive skin use 1-2 times a week.
Please note:
Different clays have different absorption rates. You may have to adjust the recipe to suit your desired consistency.
You may also like to adjust the oil ratio to suit your skin type. Dry skin types may benefit from 5-7 drops of oil. Oily skin types may benefit from 3-5 drops of oil.
